The first day of school is almost always more full of jitters for the younger ones. New Tenth Street first-grader Tameika Moore was a little hesitant to let go of her mom's pant leg this morning. Until she saw and hugged her former kindergarten teacher Tonya Alford.
"I'm going to miss this one," Alford said.
Once she saw a friendly face, Tameika was more ready to tackle the new school year.
